4.   If vandalized lash out at Spanish with a greeting. (5,7)

Yes to the answer.
Yes to the comment too. The actual title of the Shakespeare drama is simply "Richard III." I should've checked.

hint: Think of cheap leather-like jackets, shoes, recliners, etc., and most famously - political and social gaffes.
 
4.   If vandalized lash out at Spanish with a greeting. (5,7)
hint: Think of the famous song of a Puerto Rican singer that is played in almost every public place during this season.

I had a hunch from the letter count that it should be something with these two words, but got lazy to go on an anagram generator to check it out.

FAUX? ---------------- Yes (foe-homophone; faux = knock off, bete noire = for/enemy)
