Hindus do not FOLLOW Hinduism! Empty Hindus do not FOLLOW Hinduism!

A religion is not to be followed, but practised without rules!

This concept of "Which Religion do you FOLLOW?" is a western concept.

We do not follow, we practice per our own unique freedom, what we feel right.

If in terms of following, Hinduism is only about following what one's conscience tells him/her to do, per their understanding of "righteousness".

Pray to Idol or not, Read Gita or not, even eat Beef or not - does NOT negate one to be a Hindu. The only religion which is NOT about RULES. But about personal freedom.

I, as a Hindu, respect other religions who do not want to pray to idols, but I also feel sad for them, that they never bothered to learn about these idols. The wise folks of Hinduism always left some clues. They made Ravana 10 headed. They made the statues with 8-12 hands. They did this, so any 1 year old in future generation will "question". 

They wanted the curiosity to be alive. 

Not a blind following like it exists in non-Hinduism.
