H.P. transport minister asks Mandi admn to blacklist ‘dhaba’ (road side restaurant)

Kullu, April 8
Aditya Sood of Akhara Bazar area in Kullu town stood against alleged fleecing of elderly South Indian tourist couple during his journey from Kullu to Delhi on Wednesday.
Aditya said he was in a private Volvo bus of BFC Holidays company. The bus stopped for dinner at Vishal dhaba at Dadaur on the Mandi-Sundernagar road.
Aditya alleged employees of the restaurant not only misbehaved with the couple, but the couple were also manhandled by them when the elderly couple complained about being overcharged. He intervened and called the police for help.
In the meantime, the employees attacked him and hit him on the head with a metallic rod. He further alleged that later the driver of the bus did not take him to a dispensary or a hospital and dropped him at the Sundernagar bus stand.
The police have registered a case under Sections 341, 323 and 147, IPC. Transport Minister GS Bali said orders had been issued to the Mandi administration and the Transport Department to blacklist the dhaba.
He said a policy would be developed to regulate stoppages for private tourist bus operators and stop other irregularities.
