Introducing something in society as a new idea or practice can be quite risky, difficult, expensive and time consuming, as illustrated by the example of great French scientist Louis Pasteur, who not only invented the process of pasteurization (bearing his name) to prevent spoilage in beer, milk and other things but, by using his germ theory of disease, also developed vaccines for chicken cholera, anthrax and rabies.
